Don't even try to screw the Poly. It buches up in your screw threads!

I used my trusty e-powered stapler

Linacoustic was attached with just drywall screws. Worked perfect.

Hi Skyman, looks like it's going to be a nice room. Have you sound tested it yet? I'm curious as to what all of the Linacoustic, and polyester batting is doing to your high frequencies. Or is the thickness such that those frequencies aren't over attenuated? Are you employing any low frequency treatments? Thanks.

5000 staples later and the wall fabric is done! Still have the dig cam and USB cable, so here you go.

On to the prosceniums and columns... -j

Got the DIY Doable screen Sat. and put together the prosceniums last night. The prosceniums are just dry fitted; they will be taken out, painted flat black, wrapped in black grill cloth and screwed and glued back in place. The screen will be hung via 2 french cleats.

The cutouts in the fabric for the outlets was done by using Scottf200's superglue method therefore eliminating the need for furring strips around each outlet. -j

It is a Behr paint from HD called Sailboat (S-H 590). -j

Prosceniums are wrapped and in place. Front left, right and sub are placed behind them. Screen french cleats are in place on screen(on floor) and top cleat is mounted against front wall. Black velvet drapes will be hung perpendicular to the front wall to the inside edge of each proscenium. -j

Since I last posted, I hung the screen.

Treated, stained, varnished doors and jambs.

Hung the doors.

Built the columns. Veneered and stained bottom half, wrapped top-half in fabric.

Put the columns up.

Built and installed the window "plug".

Put in stage and riser rope lights.


Now I'm off to a boat-load of trimwork! -j
