Yesterday I activated the (blue) test pattern image of the projector and I spotted a tiny dark blob on the 2nd quadrant of the screen. On a white image I cannot see the blob, however, it is a bit yellowish. My guess is that it is a blown pixel or dust on the blue panel.


I have uploaded some pictures of the blob.



I would appreciate any opinion on the matter.

Looks like dust, adjust the focus and if it is it should come into focus. Very common in LCD projectors, if it has a high altitude setting the higher speed fans may blow it away.

I tried high altitude mode for a couple of minutes. It didn't go away. I took two more photos, It doesn't focus anymore than that.

From those pictures it does look more like a dead pixel.
