Cant wait to get my hands on Blue Thunder on BluRay when it gets released on 8/11. One of my favorite action movies. I hope it is a good transfer.

+!....Cool-looking chopper, which looks a bit like an Apache helicopter. Great aerial footage....looks way more convincing than today's CGI sequences. Love Roy Scheider...plus it had Candy Clark! (of American Grafitti fame). Speaking of great hi-tech aircraft actioners, would love to see Clint Eastwood's 'Firefox' on Blu one day!

Too bad the movie hasnt aged very well. I thought it was cool the first time I saw it. But the second viewing years later was a letdown.


But maybe the third time will be better, now when my expectionas are low.

Tried to watch this....and, well....this movie just hasn't aged well.

The melodrama was often unintentionally funny.

I love this movie, it was the first movie I'd ever watched in surround sound, I was blown away by the experience. The Blu-ray brought it all back, awesome!. I'm with Spizz, it has aged very well as a movie IMO.

Thank you Sony for putting it out. It is one of my favorites, looks good for an eighties movie. If you find it on sale somewhere, I would get it.(under $20 mark)

Just ordered it. Good man! Hope the sound is up to snuff though - just read a review that said the LFE is all but absent. Oh well - for $11, you can't go wrong.

Very decent picture quality beyond my expectation but LFE.was absent,just my opinion and my system.
