bose option

does anyone know of a bose alternative with similar aesthetics/size that has less compromised sound quality. i am trying to deter a (female) friend from purchasing a bose acoustimass 5.1 system but she is very concerned with appearance. fancy/custom installations to cleverly hide larger equipment is not an option - must be simple! please advise.

Mirage OMNIsats. I THiNK they are aesthetically pleasing enough for a girly.

Go to Circuit City and look at Polk's satelites. They're similar to bose in size (slightly bigger) but sound far better. You might want to check online prices for them as I've seen some killer prices on those sat systems on the net at various times.
