Hi all,

I'm trying to decide between 2 sets of speakers as surrounds. They are

Boston acoustics CS23B with a 3.5" driver. Reg price $99 on sale for $37.00

or

Sony SS-B1000 with a 5 ¼" driver. Reg Price $49.00

I know B.A. makes better speakers than Sony. But does size matter? Seems like a great deal on the Bostons. I got a new receiver and I'm upgrading from old HTITB speakers, so I'm sure either would sound great.

Any suggestions?

I use the CR57's as surrounds and they are quite nice.

What are your left/center/right speakers?

Right now I'm using some JVC book shelf speakers. They have 5 1/2" woofer x 2 and an 8" sub firing from the side of the speaker cab. I'm no audiophile, just looking for decent sound for movies. I just picked up a new pioneer receiver vsx-1020-k, so fronts are the next to upgrade. Thanks for the reply.
