OK,
My existing HD-A1 player is not the best at playing back my Backup burned discs. Plays some, but not Memorex or Maxell discs.
So I bought another HD-A1 tonight, open box at FutureShop with the DEMO!!! disc in it, but no Remote (No loss if you ask me), for CDN$199
This unit will play any of my burned discs Wooo Hoooo!!!! Apart from that it is the same as my other unit. Perhaps the Laser is dirty on th eother unit or something. But for $199 this unit is a Steal!, as an upconverting DVD Player, what a Bargain!
