Bought Blockbuster Bundle (how do i get the 5 mail-in rebate)

1399 Views 17 Replies 14 Participants Last post by  blklightning
I just bought the $599 bundle pack at blockbuster

80 gig ps3 w.controller

hdmi cord

20 week rental card

blue ray remote

surfs up blueray disc

motostorm game

and supposedly 5 free blueray movies by mail in rebate.

When I bought this she said it was all in the box, got home opened it up no mail in sheet or mention of the 5 free movies, called store girl was like "its supposed to be in the box if not maybe it expired..."

The manager is in tomorrow so I will be GOING in vs calling to speak with them, but has anyone else got this blockbuster deal and if so where was the 5 mail in movie rebate, the big display they show says 5 more movies by mail in yet no slip in the box (thinking maybe its a behind the counter thing or online thing that the girl didn't know about).

Is it wrong to fall in love with the way this thing looks? It's amazing and it isn't even plugged in, a thing of beauty i tell ya....hehe

Went to sony page and found this one, is it a pretty much universal form so no matter where I buy from this is the form (not a special blockbuster form)

I gotta admit I haven't seen many of these flicks so any advice on which are great blueray reference material?

Full Metal Jacket was a great movie did the blueray version of it really make it shine or is it just an old movie done in blueray without stellar visuals?

Actually, the best place to get the form (just to make sure you aren't getting one that's tied to a particular store in the small print) is here:

Word of advice on Full Metal Jacket: the first BD release was a disaster, made from a bobbed 1080i master. There's been a remastered version released already which is supposed to be quite good, but nobody's sure which version is being shipped for the 5 free movies deal. You might want to pick something else to be safe.
Do these movies come in a case?

I've had the PS3 since Nov but have not done the movie rebate thing.

They come in the regular retail case. (At least the summer ones did.) It's the same package you'd see on the shelf at Best Buy.
Hi,

When I got mine at Circuit City, they gave me a separate form. You have to fill out the form and cut the UPC Code off of the box. I got mine 3 weeks before Christmas and sent in the form. I'm still waiting for my 5 DVD's.

umm, i sent mine in october and am still waiting. still waiting on 5 free hd-dvd's from september too. harsh wait times
the last waltz is Great BTW if your into the old country rockish folk thing of the 70s! wait times are incredibly varried, my dad sent in his form and took 10 weeks, and i filled out my form, and it took about 3-4 weeks, :\\ i dunno what to tell you, it takes awhile, but be patient, once u get the package it will be like christmas day (or you will be like, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS PACKAGE? I DIDNT ORDER ANYTHING) lol! Its best to forget about it lol
Sent mine awhile back, maybe someday packages will show up.
do you have to cut the upc code off of the box? or just write the upc number in a piece of paper?

You need to cut original UPC and include them in the envelope.
Holy Cow I got the 5 discs in the mail today!

I bought mine on 1-15-08 figured maybe by summer, but today 3-11-08 in the mail I got all 5 blu ray discs in a thick package!

Only issue is it looks as if they did the "substitute" thing on most every darn disc I picked

If I leave these sealed where is the best chance of walking in without a receipt and doing a swap out for other blu ray movies?
