I checked out the new Captivator.

http://www.jtrspeakers.com/captivator.html

It looks like the internal vol is about 220L.

Delivered plus custom/taxes it should be just below S$2k. I could make use of one channel of my 1850HD first. If required a EP2500 (more than enough power) is just $630 locally incld taxes.

The slot port does the LF and the PR does the "HF". LF is tuned to 14.5Hz according to Jeff. (read that Mark did the basic alignment)

Now the PB-13U is also about the same vol. It costs about S$3.1k locally with the new local dealership. PC13U is ~ S$2.8k and probably has slightly less deep bass.

Can I confirm if the 6th order BP works the same as vented (driver excursion wise, efficiency), just that there are 2 sides vented here? I modelled some stuff with BP6 vs vented and it looks like it is.

Actually I am more interested in the LF portion, more specifically 30Hz and down. I think the LF chamber vol would be less than the PB-13U, so perhaps a wee bit lower SPL low down there.

Power is about the same, I noticed. With the HF PR filtering off any harmonics from the driver, deep bass should sound very clean even close to limits. (hopefully vent mach is low enough....just guessing here)

Going by the 15-85 Hz spec, the filtering wouldn't affect the prominent 2nd/3rd harmonics from deep bass. Midbass harmonics would see a reduction for sure.
