BR not needed for games so why not toss in a movie!

Hard boiled is a fanastic action film, I still have my laser disk around somewhere.

Game + movie for $70 sounds like one hell of a deal. Now THIS is how to leverage the storage space.

Wow... nice!

Stranglehold just made my must buy list.
I agree! A tight move.

Hey FrankJ you are started to be a cool ass dude.
I'll take that over a disc smashed full of game interrupting cut scenes any day. Best content ever. My only fear is that they will take screen shots of the movie and plaster them all over the boxes as if this is what you will be seeing when you play. I'm sure it would precipitate and argument over whether it's pre-rendered or all CGI.
Any word on whether Stranglehold will have 1080 support? I'm an old school John Woo nut, so I'm all over the Collector's Edition, but I really hope I won't be stuck playing it in 480p...

I am all over this combo deal. Hard Boiled is one of my favorite movies. Time to trade the Criterion version DVD. Think it still may be worth a little to a friend who thinks HD are just 2 letters in the alphabet. Thank you for the info.
Never seen the movie. Good eh? I too am all over this.
Classic action fliq. PQ and SQ are horrible on DVD but still a great movie.. Love the hospital scene! I wonder how many rounds were fired in the movie, lol
Gosh, I hope they package the Mortal Kombat movies with the upcoming game as well. I want to see one of the worst movies ever made in HD! Don't fail me again, Midway.

Included with the exclusive PS3 special edition of Stranglehold is a full-length high-def remastering of John Woo's greatest movie (and Stranglehold prequel), Hard Boiled.

An honest to goodness high-def remastered transfer of Hard Boiled???

This game is mine!

Who said they don't need the BR for the game? Since this is only coming with the collector's edition, I'm sure it'll have its own disc, and not be on the same one with the game.

And, I've got you beat--I've got the Criterion laserdisc and the Criterion DVD.
