From Disney comes two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird’s riveting, mystery
adventure “Tomorrowland,” starring Academy Award® winner George Clooney.
Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by
disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting
with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the
secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as
“Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.

Trailer looks great. Maybe the title isn't splashy enough? Wait! What's this madness? We're agreeing? I can hear the four horseman saddling up now...

Not me. When a trailer has to tell that much of the story, I see it as a problem.

Now I love some of Brad Bird's stuff but this trailer is not a good sign.

It does seem a little revealing.

Hopefully, this will be a good one.
Clooney isn't known for picking bad films.

I know that guy. He owes me money.
Looks fun! I agree with Brother Oink that Clooney seldom picks stinkers. The girl looks like a young Julia Roberts.

I see you got into the tainted slop again. Those Oceans abominations and Monuments Men Bore are just a few that come to mind. I could come up with more but my glass is empty.

I wouldn't call them "abominations," however the only one I would watch again is Ocean's 11.

Speaking of an empty glass.....hmmm, I got 15 minutes to go...:(
Trailer #2

And trailer #3. A bit more action in this one.

'Tomorrowland' IMAX Screenings Will Have Expanded Aspect Ratio

If IMAX is the future of movies, the company is really going to show it with Brad Bird‘s Tomorrowland. While the director didn’t shoot
in native IMAX, his film will be presented entirely in an expanded aspect ratio when it is released on May 22. Sam Mendes’ Skyfall
did something similar; it was shown in a 1.9:1 aspect ratio, which is 25% bigger than a regular screen. Tomorrowland will be similar.

Trailer Black-out Mode ON.
Something to see

One big deal about Tomorrowland is that it will probably be the first movie available with Dolby High Dynamic Range, meaning whiter whites and blacker blacks with a huge gradation of colors. That will require specific hardware to bring this to the fore. This will be a preview of what Dolby HDR can bring to new home displays. Will also be in Dolby Atmos. So it is something to look forward to as in AMC Burbank 16 Dolby theater, use to be called Prime, on 5/22.
Mr. Incredible and his family are about to get back into the red spandex.

Brad Bird, who wrote and directed 2004's Pixar hit The Incredibles, told Collider that his next film will be its sequel. He revealed that he already has "a bunch of pages" written for the film's script.

"I had a lot of ideas for the original Incredibles that I didn't get a chance to use, that I like," Bird said. "I have ideas that I wanted to pursue a little bit, and there wasn't enough time in Incredibles. There are new ideas I have, and I think there are enough of those together to make an interesting movie."

I do wish Bird would chisel out enough time from his busy schedule to deliver the Iron Giant BD he's already said he'd produce. Tough to be perpetually in demand, I s'pose.
Given the resources available to Disney, as in $$$$, can only wonder about the less than enthusiastic promotion for Tomorrowland and whether or not a conscious decision was made to not publicize it because the higher up's pre-screened it and didn't like what they saw? And have already written off as a box office loser?
