Just curious what resolution others find preferable (when the D1 actually works)....

I found that at 720, I could see a *slight* blurring on edges----very subtle, but what was more noticeable was artifacts in the captions and I almost always use captions so I can "hear" it more easily. Thus, I've found that 480p is preferable to 720p out of the Bravo in DVI for the sammy (I have the HLN467W)...what are your findings?

That's what I had originally done....and what I had thought was superior, but take a very close look---with the exception of subtitles, I find it to be very subtle---I find dark artifacts on the subtitles on the 720p versus the 480p and I *think* I'm seeing not as sharp focus on the 720p for picture....this is on a Bravo DVI DVD source.

Wow....I actually got matrix to load for the first time in about 12 tries! Yes, I know matrix has a greenish tint, but I'm so curious how it will look on a BIG screen!

I have the Sammy 931 hooked up to my 507, and I have settled on 720p. Perhaps the DLP internals are doing a better job of upscaling than the Bravo internals.

Generally, it is a good idea to have content manipulated only once. If you set your Bravo to 480p, then the Bravo will convert the 480i DVD content to 480p, and then your Sammy will convert 480p to 720p. If you set your Bravo to 720p, then the content will arrive to your Sammy in the native resolution.
