Hi there
The infocomm exhibition tarted yesterday in Tokyo.
Actually it was kind of disappointing. Not many new models ...
JVC was absent , to start with.
Then Barco came up with nice solutions, like splitting a HD signal in 2 (2 x 1000 pixel wide) and display using RM6 DLP projectors. The system is called Synergix, and the guy told me it was possible to use for any 4:3 projector. Could work also to display 16:9 movies ... with 2 LT 150 for example ?
Then NEC was displaying a beautiful DLP projector, using the Panamorph lens. Really nice...
Besides, very high end DLP and LCD for a LOT of money !
Finaly, there was the Sharp z9000, dlp with 1200 lumen and 16:9 naive matrix, for 1280 x 720.
This showed very promising ! Let's hope the price will be affordable. DPX 1 from Yamaha was disappointing in comparison.
Cheers,
Cedric
