Looking for opinions for 55" or so LCDs that perform well under non-theater conditions: multipurpose basement with pool table, large liv room with mucho ambient light...
Shootout of sammy LED vs Kuro plasma suggests niether for uncontrolled light and specifically denigrates LED LCD's performance when not looking straight on (increased black level at expense of off-axis viewing).
