I have my choice of a stereo amplifier narrowed down to the Bryston and the Cambridge Audio. I'd like opinions from people who use or have used these amps.

My budget is in the $2000 to $2500 (CDN $) area.

Thanks.

I own a bunch of Bryston amps (4B SST, 6B SST, 3B SST) and an SP 1.7 and 10B crossover - so you know where my vote is going to be. Extremely neutral amplifiers, rock solid reliability with best in class warranty and customer service. And made in Canada - pretty hard to beat.

Thanks for your comments, Eric. I'm considering either a Bryston 2B SST or 3B SST. The Cambridge Audio model is the 840W. The Absolute Sound magazine just awarded the 840W Solid State Amp of the Year.

I'm unable to audition this equipment because I live hundreds of miles from the dealers. I'm at a disadvantage as I have to use the experiences of others as well as magazine articles to determine what amp is best for my needs.

I'm in same position as Rick. Undecided between these two. Cambridge also has excellent customer service, but lacks the Bryston warranty. So still on the look for someone who heard the Cambridge. I heard the Bryston, and I like it, but who knows what the Cambridge holds.
