I am looking for a comapct monoblock, and considering the Brystons. I am trying to drive Focal 1027BE speakers with the CC. Does anyone have experience with these amps? I have heard the 7bst which is a 300watt MB but have not been able to hear the PP300.

Thanks,

Lou

I own the 4B SST and 6B SST which are 300 wpc like the powerpacs. Sonically they are pretty much identical according to James Tanner of Bryston. An AVS member who is local to me uses 3 300w power pacs for his front three channels (Triads can't recall if they are golds or platinums) and I find they do a splendid job. The 7B if I recall has more juice than 300 per side. There are some digital monoblock amps out now (can't recall the names) that are very compact but I have not listened to them or used them to fairly comment on them.

If you can, it will be cheaper to get a 4B SST and a PowerPac 300 or just getting one 6B SST.

Thanks for the input, also looking at the 6b SST, seems like a nice 3 channel.
