Hello,

It looks to me like the Bryston SP2 is a solid multi channel preamp and dsp processor.

Though - I cannot find in the manual anything about setting up a phantom center channel.

Can you do this with the SP2?

thanks

Hi Kal

What is up, thanks for the note.

The question remains though - Regardless of the crossover(small/large) or just plain kill (NONE) - is there any indication of the ability to take the center channel information, and route it to the main front speakers in a "phantom center" config?

That's a pretty darn stong indicator that it does though.

Really it is the odd ball piece of equipment that doesn't do this you know.

Some of the new lossless formats don't really offer it as an option, so many of the Blu-ray and HD-DVD players won't support it for True-HD and/or DTS-HD / MA...

Why would they have a setting for "NONE" if it didn't reroute the signals?

So they wouldn't have to implement the circuitry to reroute? It seems strange to me that there isn't explicit mention of this in the manual.
