I'm looking for a HDMI DVD recorder/VCR combo that does a nice job upconverting DVD's during playback. Of course, the cheaper the better, maybe $150 or less. Thanks.
hmm...a standalone DVD player that upconverts will run you (bottom price) $80. One of the new Combo with ATSC tuners coming out in Q2 might be what you are looking for, albeit double your budget.
Check the Panasonic web site. The ES45VS is an HMDI up-converting DVDR/VHS combo unit. List is $300 but I've seen it on the Internet for $265. More than you might want to spend, but a quality unit.
