Buffalo Linktheater Problem

604 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  dmccoy
Good morning everyone. I am new to the multimedia world and i have a problem that i can not figure out. I just purchased the Linktheater and got everything set up. Here is what i have:

Buffalo Linktheater

Wired 10/100 network (the linktheater is running at 100mbs)

Dell XPS 600

P D3.2ghz

2gb of Ram

JVC LT-32X576 LCD TV

The linktheater is connected to the TV via Component

The problem is the audio/video stutters continuously throughout the entire movie. It will play for 5 seconds then "hang" for 1 second and the pattern just continues. The files i am playing are mpeg 4 from a dvd rip... They play just fine on the pc this is only happening when viewing them through the linktheater. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have that problem periodically during playback too. I updated the firmware the day I brought the unit home too. I have read there is a beta firmware update, so the problems may be fixed soon.

I upgraded the firmware also. I failed to mention that the problem is only happening on the mpeg 4 files. I also tried to play .vob files and they work fine i just dont like having to search through a folder full of vob's trying to find the right one.
Great news! Thank you very much. I will give it a shot this afternoon.
