Building or buying a valence for ceiling mounted screen

I received my Da-lite Tensioned Cosmopolitan Electrol with high-contrast fabric yesterday. Now I am considering mounting options. I am planning on eventually mounting the screen in the attic but for now I will ceiling mount it. I need advice on building a valance. My plans are to build a simple wooden valance, paint it white to match ceiling, and attach the screen to it. It seems simple enough. I do not wish to have a crude looking valance though. Any tips on building one would be appreicated or any advice as to where I could purchase a pre-fabricated one.
