I would like to know if bulkheads can be built after a room has been built with soundproofing details. My room having 2 layer 5/8 drywall with geen glue inbetween fastened to a 2x4 walls. I think you call this room within room. and the ceilings are 2 layers of 5/8 drywall with green glue inbetween fastened to hat channels and genie clips.

Was wondering if building bulkhead after would creat the "triple leaf" syndrom and if so how i could go about to reduce the effect.

I would be installing 4" pot lights in the bulkhead and these may need special attention?

There would be also a retractable sceen that would be hung in the bulkhead.

Any information on this would be appreciated.

thanks,

terra

You should ask the people who you purchased Genie clips from, perhaps. I'd be curious what they have to say.
