Does anyone have any details on how to convert AVCHD content recorded from a Panasonic SDHC based camcorder to DVD9 for playback on a Panasonic Blu-Ray player on Mac? I know this is supposed to be possible, but burning the files straight from the SDHC card to DVD9 results in a disc which won't playback.

I've seen mention of renaming some of the files...?

I have Panny SD5 with the bundled DVD burner. You can go directly from the camera to the bundled DVD burner. Or, you can use the included Panasonic software to make simple edits, then burn a DVD. The DVD will NOT play in the internal burner (the one you just made it in), but will play in the bundled burner or Blu-Ray player.

Panasonic states VERY explicitly that you MUST use their software to do ALL file transfers and editing.

I'm not buying a new camera to get the burner though.

Not Mac OS X compatible.
