I am looking for a decent projector for my company to do slide shows and presentations around the $1500 - $2000 ballpark. Do any of the experts here have any suggestions?

If you are doing presentations, I would go with a cheap, bright LCD 600 X 800. They are a dime a dozen for good used ones and not too expensive for new. Some new ones are under $1500

BenPlace,

I have a NEC MT1035 LCD that I barted for labor for. These are used mostly at USC in the classrooms that proved very efficient for a sharp data display. Input select of the unit does away with a switcher. Plug and play. Low hour unit. They been doing just fine going on 4 years. Doug

Personally, I would recommend a CRT projector - I really think a digital projector is more than you need for slide shows and presentations. I use a digital projector for my serious viewing and a CRT for games and powerpoint type stuff - I don't want to put lots of hours on the bulb for non-critical viewing.
