The Toshiba DLP is an excellent choice. I almost purchased one but went with the Optoma SV65XF. They do make a 50 inch model as well. The stand is not so bad that Toshiba makes. The thing I wasn't a fan of is the speakers at the side of the tv. The picture quality is excellent though, with nice black levels. I would go to a few furniture stores and see if there are any stands that fit your liking already built. Some folks have them custom built but that can be very pricey. Buying a DLP
I will be buying a Toshiba 52HMX84 very shortly. What do you guys think of this set??
I don't like the stand Toshiba makes for it, because there is not enough shelf space. If anyone here has this Toshiba and uses a different stand, what kind of stand did you get?? I would like a contempory look, lkind of ike the Toshiba stand.
