Will the latest ReplayTV software for the 5040 kill CA/IVS?


I bought a 5504 which was suppose to be a 5040 online, so I got screwed... Long story...


Not knowing, I let the update take place, build 440.


After a long night, I managed to revert it and get CA/IVS working. Then it must have rebooted again and now it's build 440 on sys2! So, I think it has 440 on both partitions.


Now, I can't seem to get WiRNS working again on my XP Pro SP2. Keeps crashing and popping up with the JIT Debuger.

(WiRNS 1.1.5 Installer version)


Need assistance

You used up your only extra life. Unfortunately, your only option is to reimage if you want to enable CA and IVS at this point.


Did you install Microsoft's .Net Framework for WiRNS?

You can follow the directions in my sig for resurecting CA/IVS for your 5504. Delete the Wirns installation you have and start over using the zip version (not the installer version).

I think he's hosed. He's already reverted once.

Sorry about the delay, work and all.


Well I really messed up the drive. Had no choice but to re-image the drive.


The Blue light come on but no body's home...


Back up with Build 190.
