Have a demo to verify everything works as should - there's plenty topics here of things which can go/be wrong



And then the tubes. Here's an overview of Curt Palme's wear table .


Ideally you should try and get a CRT with tubes in class 8 or above, I think. Or if there's worse wear, check what new tubes cost and if you can lay hands on a set (at least those you need) and pay a price accordingly.

That's a cool link. I know Curt but was not aware of that tube condition link.

Another option would be to buy from some one who can pre set up the pj for your throw and screen size and all you need to do is point and shoot with only a slight tweak of focus and convergence. You will pay a little more but you are going to enjoy your pj much much faster wothout hassle. Contact Curt or some one like him see what they say can do for you.
