I am going to buy a new HD RPTV tomorrow to replace my older analog Sony 61" XBR. I was wondering if I could get some advice on what would be ideal to get.

I will be using this in my living room, where I have limited control over the lighting. I want to be able to use my HTPC over my TV and not have to fire up my projector to see what it is spitting out. This is going to be my daytime TV and will be in the living room for casual viewing when I move my projector into the garage for HT when I finish it.

My immediate uses for this TV will be approx:

HTPC: 20%

DirecTivo: 60%

HDTV: 20%

I suspect that over time, HDTV will increase, but I don't have many channels available yet.

I have been looking at the Philips 64pp9751, which I can get new for $3200. Although that is a good price, I wasn't wanting to spend much more for this new set, as I have been spending money like a drunken sailor in a brothel as of late and cannot shoot for the moon on this upgrade.

Any suggestions?
