I found a website online that sells tv's for really cheap (crazyg.com), but everything they sell is factory refurbished. They do offer a 3 year warranty for a little bit extra. But even with a warranty I'd hate the hassle of any servicing on the tv. Anyone have experience or opinions about buying factory reserviced?

If part of the refurbishment was putting in BRAND NEW CRT's then go for it. Otherwise, you might get a set that has some problems.

I nearly always buy either "Open Box" or refurbished equiptment. Why?? I can get a 3 to 5 year warranty with service for less than the "new in box" price. Since darn near everything today is built as cheaply as possible, I have gotten equipment upgrades to brand new stuff wuth the extended warranties. Admit it, nearly every company has cheapened their products, at least this way you can get newer, more capable, short term, low quality products! http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/wink.gif http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/wink.gif
