Buzzing / Humming noise coming from TV when it's hooked up to my PC

Guys,

I'm new to using my TV as a monitor and wanted to run this by you. (I did a search and couldn't find any info on this.)

I have a Toshiba 52HMX94 DLP TV which has 2 HDMI inputs. I bought a DVI to HDMI cable to use with my Radeon x800gto card.

When I plug the power cable for the computer in I get a humming or buzzing noise from my TV. I have tried the computer on a different outlet which is on a different breaker than what the TV is on and still get the noise. Any idea's on what might be causing this?

Thanks,

Shane

Sounds like a ground loop, search on the htpc forum or the entire avs forums about "ground loop".
Shaner,

Im not to sure if this helps you but i kept getting a buzzing sound from my tv (sharp lcd da5u) specifically when connected to the pc via dvi >hdmi

What solved the problem for me was to tell the tv to assume that hdmi connection was bringing video as well as audio which stopped the buzzing,

The TV was initially set to process only video from the hdmi connection :D
