I would appreciate your opinions on this, I have my G series in storage, so I engaged the C.A.T.S. on the S series on vivid. I was never a fan of vivid, or C.A.T.S., but this actually rendered an amazing picture.

This was OK to experiment with, but nothing beats the Cinema or THX setting.

A reviewer on Best Buy stated that Cinema was the only good setting. (LouieD) https://www.bestbuy.com/site/reviews/panasonic-viera-42-class-plasma-1080p-600hz-hdtv/9761068

I read your thread yesterday. I thought, I have never used that model before, so I have nothing to add. A short while ago, someone posted a Facebook Marketplace ad for a low-priced Panasonic plasma within an hour's drive. Which model you ask? TC-P42S2. If things work out, I may be an owner, too.

Nevermind. She wanted to sell it without letting me check it out in person. No screen burn check on an 11 year old plasma? No thanks. :)
