I currently have my cable modem in the Finished room over the garage, as that was the previous owners site for an entertainment room. Well, Downstairs is my living room, where my wife and I are on the internet 99% of the time. The FROG is a room where we have certain animals that cant interact with the cats..
The TV is downstairs, and I was wondering if I can split the coax with a splitter, and feed the cable modem so i can have internet/wifi downstairs. I lose quite a bit of Wifi with door shut etc upstairs.
I have a Sager Laptop, Intel Centrino Ultimate 6300 AGN wifi adapter in my laptop and a Cisco E3000 Wifi router..

Yes.

As part of that, remove the splitter that currently feeds the Living Room and the FROG and place a barrel connector there. Use that splitter in your living room.
