Cable Card Exrra Charges?

After a month a at a new house with 3 hd-dvr boxes I realized we did not use one particular tv much at all. I thought I would save some dough by switching from the $15 dvr box to a $2 cable card from TWC-Milwaukee. After scheduling and waiting for the guy to install he informs me that I will not get all my channels (i have showtime, hbo, cinamax, hd package etc). He wants to make sure that I know that. I tell him that is not what i think should happen. I was under the impression that i would get all the channels i get on the boxes, as you do not pay more for the each outlet, only the equipment you rent. He tells me that with cable card this is not the case. That it is all "a la carte" and to duplicate all of my channels on the cable card my bill will go way up. I told him to leave the box and forget the card. He made calls and checked with his supervisor that he was correct.


Is this right? You get charged more for channels on a cable card. The twc flier that has all the channelsand charges says nothing about this. It simply lists package prices and equipment costs...why wouldnt they tell me on the phone as I explained that I was switching to save money?
