How many 52" LCDs have the cable card slot?

Well My 52" Mitsubishi (That I just saved another $100 off the price) is now saving me $7 monthly because I don't need to pay for the cable HD box (Card comes Free) = Now I know I got the best.

Anyone pay around $1500 for a 52" 1080P 120hz LCD that has everything like my leader of the pack Mitsubishi?

Man, this HDTV has it all = If you don’t have it, & I were you… I’d be very jealous right about now.

I think this may vary as my cable company was going to charge me more for the cable card (vs the box). Plus, keep in mind that you cannot use the card on another tv (as you can with a box) since the cable cards are exact model tv specific. But congrats on your purchase nonetheless.

I have had my 46 JVC 1080p set for almost 2 years. Cox charges $2 per mo for the CC which it provides, versus $12 for the HD box. I love not having a box and believe I get the best possible PQ since the set does all the processing directly from the cable signal. I have had to reset the card occasionally by unplugging the TV for a minute but no other problems and still have the original card they installed.

hey just remember since you have a cable card, you will not be able to get on demand and ppv and a channel guide like the cable box does. other than that i would get one if my new sharp 52 inch lcd i am going to get had one.

Haha indeed, Mikewarrior strikes again

I also have satellite, so lets talk about saving money

But I also have the same TV as Mikewarrior.. and yes I like it a lot, and yes I do feel it was an amazing bargain, but you don't see me shoving my TV down everyone elses throat.

Maybe we should get Mikewarrior his own thread about why his TV is better than everyone's TV... oh wait he tried it and it got closed...

The only thing that post is missing is "NYAHH NYAHH NE BOO BOO!"

I guess that is implied.

I had two cable carded TV's at one time but canceled because 1. they were constantly crapping out and I had to get someone to come swap them out (literally, like every few months) and I got tired of that real quick. The cable guys were also rolling their eyes and saying how much of a pain the things are to them since they constantly got calls on them

2. As mentioned, you lose PPV (meh) and On Demand (whoa now) which kinda stinks since On Demand is where most development is these days (at least for my carrier, Time Warner) Before they had HD movies on demand, I didn't care much for it, but now...

I have a multi version cable card for my TiVo and love it. It does not cost anything and it works great. I really don't care about PPV or OnDemand, so it is not a big deal. I use it to access the HD channels....which should be free in my opinion.

My card has been installed for about 1.5 years with absolutely no problems. I have never even had to reset anything. And yes, this is with Comcast.
