Seems as though the ground lifters we would use on cable to remove rolling lines and/or buzz from the system now also removes the ability for two-way communication between CATV home base and the box, thus rendering OnDemand control useless.


Anybody got any answers as to what to do???

You just need to find a different ground lifter for this purpose. There are specific models for cable, satellite, etc. to accomodate the appropriate frequency bands.

need to find a particular ground lift that allows for "return signal path". Along the lines of upstream cable modem. The problem is once you lift the ground, you lift the path of return.

Yes but you only need to lift the ground at DC, not at the signal frequencies. I am using a Mondial on my cable line and communication works.
