Hello,

I have a Samsung 165 (i believe) OTA HD receiver and use the RGB output to drive my projector. I will also receive shortly a component to vga transcoder so I can use the component outputs. Can I rent the comcast HD receiver connect the output from this receiver including digital audio to the Samsung and have it pass through to my projector?

If so, do I use the RF input on the Samsung for the complete signal (does the comcast receiver have an RF output after decoding the signal?) or do I output video through component video cables into the Samsung? If I use component video between the two, what do I use for the digital audio?

Thanks for any help.

No, you can't piggyback a Comcast box through the Samsung box. Your best best would be to get a component switcher with audio switching and hook your two boxes to that.
