I just bought a new house which has cable outlets in almost every room. I've identified several splitters in various places but can't tell what goes where.


Does anyone know of a tool that I can use to 'tone' out my cable, kind of like what exists for CAT5 or electrical circuits?


I appreciate any help.

(Labor Saving Devices, Inc. from Denver, CO) has coaxial cable toners. You simply place the power supply end at one end and the speaker (tone) side at each cable outlet. You may have to strip and crimp fittings on ends in order to screw the toner speaker on it. These testers also have LED's to test for more than continuity, but for shorts. etc.
