Cable Modem and Directv

368 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Dolfo
Does anyone out there know whether you can piggyback the Directv signal on a rg6 carrying cable and cable modem signals. I know DTV won't interfere with the normal cable signal but I don't have any idea where a cable modem frequency resides and whether there would be a conflict.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Shouldn't be a problem - use a diplexor to combine them and another diplexor to split them out again.
Actually, I just had this done and it works fine. As Scooper said, I use a diplexor at both ends and haven't noticed any interference at all.
