EDIT: PLEASE IGNORE THIS THREAD! I found out what I wanted to know, sorry for the post!
I was wondering if you can use a cable splitter to hook up to both the coax connectors on the back of a dual tuner card so that you can both watch a channel and record on a different channel.
At the moment I have not selected a tuner card, but I was thinking about the
Hauppauge 1229 card. It has 2 tuners that will both record or watch digital signals.
I just do not want a separate cable coming into the room. Can this card or any other use a splitter to get the signals separately? I do not have a cable box so that is not an issue. But I do have digital cable that has HD local programing available.
Thanks!
