I currently have a Dwin TV3 which has a processor, i.e., a DVI cable goes from the processor to the front projector. I have ordered a JVC RS-1 which doesn't have a processor. It has an hdmi input. My hd dvd player has an hdmi output as well as a new receiver which I will be purchasing in the summer, when denon receivers with 1.3 are shipping. I don't care about audio to the projector, so I need to decide whether to put a hdmi to DVI connector on one end and DVI to hdmi on the other end, or purchase a new hdmi cable. The distance is about 30 feet. Do the connectors degrade the video at all? What connectors would you recommend? Or should I just purchase a new hdmi cable? If so, at that distance should it be a fiber optic hdmi cable? I am willing to spend $200 to $300 if there would be a visable improvement in picture quality.
