Hi, I have Digital Cable box from Comcast (non-HD). I have VCR. Both of these only have Composite out. I have Panny Plasma with one composite/S, and one component.

Wonder....I I get VCR with S Video Out...and I run Cable through it, and then connect S Video from VCR to Plasma, will Cable TV signal be "upconverted" to S Video....my reciver does not convert to S.

Thanks

Your Panasonic has an excellent comb filter (only active on the composite input) so you will get best results with composite video from composite sources like TV tuners and VCRs. With s-video you are just using an inferior luminance/chroma separater in the external device.
