Do Cables like Monster make a difference at all? Would something like Monster Component 1 make a difference on a non-pro scan TV over some generic component cables?

no they do not. If you start with a descent cable to begin with then they do not make a difference. I have used radioshacks version in the past and they work just as well any any other cable. why pay for the name when you can buy generic cables of the same quality for less than 1/2 the price......
