Hi,
I’m confused. Should I aim for bt1886? Some say yes other say no! Aim for 2.2?

I have it set to d65 and gamma 2.2 now and my profile are spot on with 80cd/m2 perfect when working in dim environments that I prefer.
I also have a profile for 100cd/m2 and one for 120cd/m2

No, both are relative.
BT1886 just uses the black level of the display to change the lower end gamma, which ends up washing out the shodows more.

Basically, BT1886 is flawed, and we do not recommend it.
