I would like to calibrate my projector HC3000 and have DVE DVD to do that. I would play DVD on the PC and the signal then passes through Yamaha 2600 AV Receiver. I was just thinking, how should I eliminate possible impacts from PC software/decoders, etc and possible AV Receiver image corrections??? if the source is DVE DVD and the unit to calibrate is projector, you need a middleman that would be able to play back DVD and send signal to projector without adding/deducting to the image quality. How to ensure that , when PC is used for playback? Cables would be DVI->HDMI to AV Receiver and then HDMI-> HDMI to projector.
