I bought a 47" LCD TX-47F430S last week and it's my first big screen LCD. I'm trying to figure out how to calibrate it and am finding it to be quite difficult. I would rather not pay for a calibration disc, but it might be unavoidable. I was able to find this link...
lcdtvbuyingguide.com/lcdtv/lcd-tv-calibration.html
which is the best I can find and haven't tried it yet. It mentions being able to use the THX logo that is on the intro of a lot of DVDs...
Is there better info out there for calibration, or any info that is specific to the tv model I have?
Also, I have a SD dvd player and was wondering if it's worth buying an upconverting dvd player that can upconvert to 1080i? ...my little cheap Sanyo only produces to 480i...
Thanks guys!
