Calibration disc's

Greetings

This of course has been beaten to death simply because it is the topic of this forum. However I could not find a thread that talked specifically about the various calibration disc's and the pros/cons of each.

My particular interest is a disc that is cheap, easy to use and doesn't require/expect specialized calibrating hardware. One of the features I would be interested in hearing about is intended output (i.e. SD, HDTV, 720p, 1080p etc).

The disc's I've run across so far are the following:

Monster calibration disc

Digital Video Essentials

AVIA

I would really like to hear opinions but please expand on your yeas/nays.

scroll down this forum, there are 2 floating around that are free to download..with lots of feed back..
For SD DVD I recommend GetGray

Pros:

- Simple and intuitive navigation

- All the patterns you could ever need for calibrating greyscale and colour

- Accurate patterns

Con: Best suited for digital displays since it doesn't have a convergence pattern

For HD media I have only used the AVS disc and it is the moral equivalent of the GetGray disc except it is authored using Rec709.
