Calibration Help

501 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  eixtys

Hi, I recently purchase a Korean branded pc monitor. It only has settings to control brightness (No options to tweak color or contrast). How do I go about calibrating the device with an EyeOne Display LT colorimeter? I believe the monitor brand I have is a Yamakasi DS270. Thanks

did the meter come with xrite software?

yes? then it will modify the PC LUT

It comes with software, but there is a step where it asks me to adjust the RGB values to get a balance (white balance I think). Since I can't do it with the monitor, I'm not sure where to go from there? Thanks.
Absolutely nowhere special...just continue the process without adjuating WB and the somftware will modify the gfx card LUT to achieve the required WB (not ideal but what can you do)...
