I've had a thread running to figure out what a particular effect is called that I noticed on a replaced panel. Turns out it is dithering. See it here:

Looking in the test patterns in the service mode I can see color banding on the gradient patterns. I want to verify that they should be smooth transitions and not display any color banding. Can anyone confirm for me what they see?
