Help!

I get a miserable hum when I plug any mic into the mic input in my Sony HDR-CX560.


Hummmmm from a mono mini input, bad line noise from a stereo mini on a very good mic. No combination of adapters seems to help.


The sound from the built-in mic is clean. Why can't I get clean sound from the mic input?
