I am about ready to purchase a new receiver, front channels, center channel, and possibly a sub. Surround and outdoor speakers will come this winter when it is not too hot to run the cables in the attic (I am in FL). I have searched the forums and other online sources and I just get more confused.

I just bought a new house and I have 3 TV's and Sunday Ticket ready to go in the living room, I just need some better sound now. I will be watching sports and other TV about 50% of the time, movies 10% of the time, gaming 10% of the time, and listening to really loud music 30% of the time. I am looking for a receiver that has at least 4 HDMI inputs, 2 zones (three would be nice), and can accept all the newest HDMI audio and video formats. For speakers I am looking for something that looks and sounds good in my price range. I am looking for a sub that my neighbors can hear (they are 100yds away) and has a footprint that is less than 15" wide and 20" long.

I have a very flexible budget, if there are significant gains by spending an extra $200 then I will with no questions asked. I am at $1340 plus shipping and wires right now; $2k for fronts, center, sub, and receiver is fine by me.

Here is my current plan:

Receiver: Onkyo TXSR806, $700 from newegg

Center: Polk CS-20, $200 from newegg

Front: Polk TSi-400, $440/pair from newegg

Sub: ??, $450

Does anyone have any recommendations?

(I have attached a crappy cell phone pic of the tv's)

From the sounds of your post, if I were you I wouldn't consider anything less than a system from these folks. I know alot of people like Polk but I am not one of those people.

Go to av123 [dot] com for some fantastic speaker package options...

I agree. There are many speakers out there better than polk. Even ex-polkers are switching to Energys.

JMO but there seem to be an awful lot of "issues" associated with AV123. I don't know if they're real or perceived but I'd suggest that the OP do a little research before jumping in that direction. Like I said, JMO.

I went to the av123 website, I am going to stay away from there...

The Energy RC-50's look nice, I am going to listen to them and the Polk's tomorrow and then see if it is worth spending more on the Energy's

Absolutely...Research whatever you are thinking of BEFORE purchasing...However...While there were indeed some management issues at av123 the product quality has never faltered and has never been an issue over and above the MF15 plate amp issues which were resolved in a speedy process...

I am just offering a choice that I myself would love to try if I were in the market...Currently I am VERY pleased with my speaker system I have put together and it will be years before I ditch these gems...

You need to also give a look at the SVS systems. Great subs and their speakers have got very good reviews also. Don't know what your total budget is for speakers and a sub, but they may have something you would be very interested in.

Of course the fact that you were banned from the Polk Audio forum for your constant trolling has nothing to do with your opinion, right candyliquor?
