was looking at Paradigms, but only because that's what the first speaker store here recommended.

i'm not very familiar with many of the other brands (but always open to suggestions)

Paradigms are nearly... always going to be less expensive in Canada, and also bear in mind the mighty cdn peso it's almost a steal... there are some stores in St Catherines, I'll try and find out the name for you. What kind of budget are you looking at?

thanks for the #, i'll give 'em a call in an hour or so.

i've gotten quotes here for around $700 for a 5 speaker set-up.

i hesitate to go into too much detail since this is the wrong forum,

but here goes anyway.

Phantoms (pair) $420

center (cc-170) $199

Atoms (pair) $190


all together they'd let em go for $700.

i really liked the micros and think they would be easier to place in my situation, but one stor wanted $75 more for those, while the other store wanted $25 less (?)

that $700 is one stores 'sale' price and the others normal price.


i can swing under $800 US, so figure about $1200-$1600 canadian.

hopefully a lot less though.
