Thank you very much for your replies!!what is your budget? something like a Denon S740 for ~200 from A4L would work... or stepping up to the x4400 would do very well, too.
but if the difference between those 2 is a sub or not, go with the smaller/cheaper unit and get the sub. The 530's are great sounding speakers. But you will benefit from adding a sub.
lots of people here will advise you to spend 400 - 500 for a hsu, rythmik, PSA sub... can't go wrong, but even a 130 polk ( not in the same league as the others) will add to your overall enjoyment.
here's a 149 Amazon refurb on a ML dynamo: https://www.amazon.com/MartinLogan-...io+subwoofer&qid=1565745927&s=gateway&sr=8-16
BIC, Klipsch, yamaha in the 200 -250 range...
rock on...
there are not any 3.1 receivers as far as I know. AVRs can be 2.1, 5.1, 7.1 etc... jsut get a 5.x and don't worry about not using the other channels - you can grow into them!Thank you very much for your replies!!
are there no 3.1 channel receivers? or only 5.1 , 7.1 ect
How loud does it need to get?Hey everyone,
I have a pair of JBL 530 - and a 520 center - I was wondering if anyone knew a budget amp or AVR I could buy that won't break the bank but is powerful enough to drive these speakers???
Thank you all,
Icy
Thinking $300 - What do you think of a used Denon x1500H for $250??? - no sub yet, but may get one soonHow loud does it need to get?
How much can you spend?
Do you have a sub?
A Denon X1500 would be a very good option. You get good room correction, decent power and lots of features.Thinking $300 - What do you think of a used Denon x1500H for $250??? - no sub yet, but may get one soon
